// FAIR PLAY (CHARACTER DESIGN)

2016 . Global Game Jam '16

/ CONCEPT

A troupe of kids is celebrating the beginning of their holidays by starting a contest comprised of a few simple games they make up themselves. Assuming the role of one of them, players may either play fairly or attempt to win by cheating. Going through the levels, however, reveals that the games are less about competition and more about a ritual-like method of coming to terms with their less-than-optimal living conditions.

// GODHEAD (CHARACTER DESIGN)

2015 . Cologne Game Lab

/ CONCEPT

The story of GODHEAD is an unceasing scene taking place in the imagined space of one of the main characters, Alan, who is endlessly replaying a breakup scene with his love interest Eva. Their actual relationship towards each other is not clear, although Alan makes it a long-lasting, consenting monogamous one. The majority of the narrative is made up of their quasi-dialogue about the end of their relationship.

// PEPPER (CHARACTER DESIGN)

2014 . Köln International School of Design / Cologne Game Lab

/ CONCEPT

PEPPER, a story-driven point-and-click adventure game designed for fighting gender discrimination through the eyes of an eight-year-old girl. This story starts with Pepper herself, who wants to take the role of Papageno in her new school’s theatre play. Despite her enthusiasm, the teacher doesn’t think a gender reversal will be a good idea.

/ THE ROOM

The only scenery for the whole game is a single room extended by a staircase leading to an unknown space, a window with bars and two closed doors, one of them resembling a prison. The ceiling heigth is infinite and the room walls are narrow. Every individual object has its own particular sound affecting the environmental perception, some of them are even interactive in certain moments of the story. A bunch of easter eggs have been added to relate with the other games developed for this project.
